Tuesday Evening Sangha
Welcome to our Tuesday evening sangha classes.
Most important things to know:
- Whether it's your first time visiting a sangha evening, or you have not been for a while be assured you will be most welcome, whatever your experience of meditation or Buddhism is, please do just come along.
- What to expect when you come through the door is a warm friendly face. We have a shrine with a Buddha Rupa (statue), there are chairs, meditation mats, cushions, and meditation blocks that can be used, or if you wish, you can bring your own. Our evening starts with a short ritual (you do not have to participate), followed by introductions and the evening program.
- Our programs include Dharma talks ('teachings of the Buddha'), mindfulness evenings, poetry evenings, and Buddhist festival evenings.
- A typical program will start with meditation then a tea break, followed by the programmed event. We practice two main meditations: the Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana (loving-kindness) meditation. Don't worry if you have not done these before you will be led through them.
- Our classes are held at the Age Concern Hall on Main Street, Stenhousemuir, Larbert, next door to The Dobbie Hall, start time is 7 pm till 9 pm.
